Chrissy Top in Smokey Feathers

This was my first purchase in Xanadu fabric and it wasn't quite what I was expecting.
The fabric is a bit more rigid than I thought it would be.

But I absolutely love this bullion colour and the Chrissy style seems to suit my figure quite well.

Cowl necks usually look quite flattering on me so that also gave me confidence to try this top.

The struggle I had with the Chrissy in Bullion Xanadu was finding some bottoms to go with this lovely top.

I find it extremely difficult to find flattering pants and skirts due to my massive tummy and hips and skinny legs and butt.
So I don't have a lot of options.

I also have a chronic illness so I can't easily return things if they don't fit.

I was hoping it would go with my Yaels (which look awesome on me), but sadly the colour combos seemed a bit off to me.

It didn't suit the rather flamboyant patterned skirts I usually wear.

So I found myself with a lovely, glittery top and nothing to pair it with.
Eventually I found some plain black pants in a smooth fabric which seem to look good with the Bullion.

I feel like this top is definitely worthy of 5 stars, it looks glamorous and fits well.
But it might pair better if you have some fancy skirts or pants to go with it.

Also I probably would prefer not to buy the Xanadu fabric again, although I would definitely try a Chrissy top in a different fabric.

Overall I'm glad I bought this top and will definitely enjoy wearing it

Pictured is size 20. I have stuck to Leith and Avery in the past and just tried the Chrissy and I am in love! I love this print for blurring lines over a big bust and will definitely buy in prints from now on. Winner for large busted ladies.

So happy I finally decided to get a top in the beautiful textural Smokey Feathers . It was hard to pick between the two tops but Chrissy won. The cowl neckline is very flattering. A lovely top for winter. Looks great with all the standard base colours - black, navy charcoal, greys and could be dressed down with denim though I prefer it as ‘evening wear’. And the fabric is very clever with that feathery burn out look yet it’s not at all see through.

Such a soft feminine top. Will be great dressed up or even with jeans. My 1st top in this style and it’s so flattering, love it !!

I do love the Chrissy top; it's easy to wear and always stylish. The Smokey Feathers fabric feels yummy and looks quite dressy with tailored pants. I'm very happy with this purchase

This top is a lovely fabric and the smoky feathers print is beautiful. It will be great for work but will also look good with jeans for a dressier casual look.

I could've done with a larger size around the middle but that's a lot of good merry making over the festive season that has done that. With the more "figure hugging" size, this top is still flattering. The only drawback is that the sleeves are slightly too long but come winter I'd be glad for that, and it doesn't look like I'm wearing my mother's clothes. Sparkly without being in your face, this is a very versatile piece that I'll love for time to come.

This collection is rather unique may I say!! Loving the fabrication resulting in more sheen, pop and glitter to the colour of each item. I really enjoy the Antique version of Jody & also have a few Mocha items. All perfect for the upcoming season but just as wonderful under a work LF jacket with a pop of interest, just as smart

Love the look, especially with the necktie in same colour and material tied around the waist. Goes well with the black tube skirt in the same material. It is not as comfortable as other tops I’ve purchased though as it is a little scratchy on the skin.

A really stunning top for that really special occasion, but I would also wear it as a dressy casual look as well
Lovely length and fit, and the colour just shines

I like the L&F Up Late options, in theory. The sparkle is eye-catching but I didn't think it was for me. So, convinced by the sale on long sleeved tops, I've taken the plunge for this cowl necked Mocha beauty. It will give me a little glamour and shimmer without too much bling for me. Taking inspiration from "K"'s review in another colour (thanks for the pic, this style suits you), I agree that the drape is lovely and I like the sleeves, comfortable and flattering. The fabric was a little different to what I expected but it sits well without clinging. I'm a bit concerned about potential glittery transference but after reading the care info I think I'll wash very gently, inside out, and separately. I'd be interested in more tops in Chrissy style.

B-ball beautiful soft material that is elegant and comfortable. The colour is beautiful and looks amazing the shimmering lights. I love the style of the Chrissie top.

I love the sparkly, stretchy fabric. This is the second one I have bought, and I now have the right size. I first bought a 20 because I wasn't sure how much stretch there would be (my normal size is 18 - 20). It was far too big in the shoulders. I now have a size 16 and it is a perfect fit across the shoulders. It is a little tighter in the body, but not inappropriately so. I am so happy with it!

Purchased the Mocha Xanadu Jodie on sale recently and was pleasantly surprised. Material has a lovely sheen and yet deep in colour. It is very adaptable under many of the LF jackets

I can’t wait to wear my Chrissy top. I got the (gold) bullion so I can pair it with any of my black L&F pants for an easy dressy outfit especially when travelling. Its lovely and light and will pack well. So flattering to wear.

I love the Chrissy tops as the cowl neck looks quite dressy. The flame colour really makes this top pop and looks glamorous.

Stunning pattern! It works really well with navy anything. I really like the cowl neckline as it makes the top look very smart.

The cowl neck is so flattering, I love it. However, the hemline is much more steeply curved than some of the other styles of tops and this makes my larger tummy more obvious rather than hiding it.
